IT Head - Travel Industry

Responsibility:

1. Managing entire IT operations of the firm and ensuring zero error environment

2. Understanding of processes and IT environment across various products- Air, Hotel, Buses, Cars etc

3. Managing a team of IT professionals and also working with various third party IT firms

4. Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions and converting concepts into completion

5. Responsible for resolution of issues and exceptions management related to IT environment

6. Emphasize on digital, social media and e-commerce areas

7. Understanding of market leading IT tools in the travel industry

8. Implementation of innovative IT solutions for the firm

9. Understanding of travel business is a plus

10. Experience- 6+ years

11. Go getter, fire in the belly and like working in an unstructured start up environment

Skills/experience required:

1. Past background of managing IT environment in a reputed firm

2. Experience in determining and implementing IT solutions in the firm

3. Should have gone through at least one big system implementation lifecycle in the firm

4. Understanding of market leading practices and tools in IT globally

5. Must have handled ambiguity in the previous firm/engagements

6. Must have handled a team and IT sub-contracting firms

7. Good analytical and thinking ability

8. Outstanding communication skills- verbal and written
