IT Head - Asset Management - Investment Bank

Our Client is worlds largest Investment Bank, looking for Head IT for Asset Management, The purpose of this role is to develop and optimize a high performing team working on Analysis, Development, Testing and Production support in a matrix organization, ensuring appropriate governance, code of conduct, risk management and procedural compliance at all times

Responsibilities:

- Driving the transformation of the current GLTi engagement from purely an in-house staff augmentation model, to working with the Asset Management leadership team to put in place fully managed service models with strategic vendors for key engagements

- Ensuring understanding of the Asset Management business in order to be able to add tangible value to the highest business and IT priorities

- Liaising with local management and adhering to and educating staff on local processes

To qualify for this job you will require:

- Investment Banking experience, ideally within Asset Management

- Demonstrable experience of managing critical outcome-based vendor engagement, with associated negotiating skills and commercial acumen

- Demonstrable experience of working in multi-location delivery models

- Confidence to raise difficult issues to a senior level and challenge the status quo when things aren- t right

- Demonstrable experience of, and ability to, work in different operating models and contribute to defining strategic operating models using experience of offshoring engagements in IT in large corporations

- Deep understanding of how offshore models work and how to implement them and continually optimise them

- Expert knowledge of software engineering and project management best practices in large corporations
