IT Finance Manager
Role Summary / Purpose
The IT Financial Manager reports into the CIO and enables in the governance of IT spend across the function.
The role requires working closely with the Top leadership in IT, Finance, Procurement and Business teams to manage budgeting, procurement and driving productivity initiatives for all verticals of lT including Infrastructure and Application Development teams.
Essential Activities
Financial Reporting and Analytics
1. Lead Budgeting Cycles for OPEX, CAPEX and FTE requirements
2. Managing the operating rhythm between IT and Finance team and ensuring month end financial reporting requirements are met
3. Prepare Project Portfolio and IT OPEX analysis of variances and reporting for regular review sessions based on inputs from IT Team Leaders
4. Prepare reports and analysis as requested by Finance and IT Leadership
5. Actual cost monitoring and driving necessary controls to drive productivity
Procurement Support
1. Work with procurement teams in leading the negotiations during IT procurement cycle
2. Management of IT Procurement including liaising with IT suppliers for hardware and software quotes
3. Raising of purchase orders, approval escalations in line with budget run rate
4. Assist IT, Project and Finance Teams in closing PO’s Process and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
5. Supporting supplier payment enquiries, updating and maintaining supplier details
Drive Business Benefits and Productivity
1. Identify the Productivity initiatives to drive rationalization of Costs in IT function. Use benchmark data to drive productivity initiatives
2. Work with business teams in quantification and achievement of business benefits and helping teams prepare ROI on IT projects
3. Deliver productivity benefits on Hardware Assets, AMC spends and Software License spends
4. Develop Internal Chargeback and allocation mechanism to bring transparency on IT spend
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
2. CA or MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 Business School
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in handling minimum of $70 Million of IT budgets
4. Overall 5 + years of experience in IT industry. Preferably in IT Services company
5. Good understanding of Financials for IT Infrastructure Spends
6. Excellent presentation and communication skills, highly motivated and ability to deal with multiple priorities.
7. Understanding of IT controls, Audit and IT governance will be highly desirable
