- Collaborates with business unit heads, IT managers to understand business needs and translate them into technology capabilities that can be fulfilled by external providers.
- Identifies new technology offerings such as cloud/packaged applications or infrastructure services in the market, which can be used across different services.
- Collaborates with technology specialists to evaluate the new technology offering for integration with the organization's current systems.
- Conducts market research to identify price benchmarks for new product and service offerings for effective contract negotiation.
- Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with multiple external service providers.
- Creates and maintains a catalog of technology services offered by multiple vendors.
- Collaborates with business unit heads, IT managers to create service level agreements and define the service level metrics to evaluate the performance of external services providers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Expert in new technology evaluation, product and vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and procurement management
- Competent in handling software licensing process
- Should be challenging and possess ability to convince and manage stakeholders
- Ability to communicate and build relationships outside IT
- Working knowledge of integration architecture development
- Should be able to work effectively as part of a global team
- Ability to perform risk/return analysis, business domain analysis, and market and competitor analysis.
- Experience as sales/account manager with IT services or technology product companies or as vendor manager or procurement manager.
