Position: Lead-HR Compliance

Location: Mumbai (Andheri East)

Reporting: CHRO

Purpose of the role:

- Responsible for spearheading HR Compliance PAN India as per labour and employment laws

- Represent the organization in all the cases before Courts, tribunals and other forms of labour matters

- Evaluate current processes and develop innovative approaches for compliance improvement

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for complete end-to-end Statutory Compliances for the country

- Ensure all necessary statutory registrations, licenses, permits, remittance and returns for the Establishment or Factory, such as S&E, CLRA, Gratuity, PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and so on

- Stay abreast on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments, and ensure changes to rules and regulations are restructured with HR systems, policies, articles, and practices

- Liaise with and manage external counsel, Labour Commissioner, PF Commissioner, ESIC Director and other Police Officials, Trade Union etc

- Interpret new employment regulations and laws by reviewing and analysing proposed and adopted state legislation and regulation

- Presentation and advise in all matters of labour & employment laws / amendments, issues including hiring, discipline, termination, retrenchment, pay and benefits

- Research changes in laws and regulations analyze their impact on the organization and communicate findings to stakeholders

- Responsible for drafting policy, process and procedure to improve on the compliance posture of the organization

- Responsible for preparing and delivering compliance-related training and communications to employees

- Collaborate with other functional areas like Legal team and other stakeholders in the delivery of compliance programs and training to employees

- Discreetly handle sensitive employee reports or information

- Ensuring IR Due Diligence and assess the legal risk before entering into any new business contract.

- Providing legal and compliance support in bidding process during new business.

- Periodical submission of MIS reports of the department for executive management meetings.

Desired Skills:

- 10+ years of experience with minimum 3+yrs experience in leading HR compliance for large matrix organization

- Hands-on experience in the application of compliance policies and procedures; solid understanding of employment laws and regulations and demonstrated research abilities in creating and delivering presentations to HR professionals.

- Proven ability to design processes and programs that align with the operations of the business

- Should be able to build rapport, establish relationships, influence and partner with people across all levels of the company with ease

- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills; to be naturally curious and action-oriented, able to conduct complex employee relations investigations, and analyze incidents to ascertain root causes
