India Shared Service Center Located in Mumbai, India, the India SSC provides service to five agency networks with offices throughout India. It covers finance functions such as accounts receivables and payables, general ledger, and tax accounting. The Role The Team Leader will manage activities related to Indirect Tax &amp; Statutory compliance procedures for Service tax, Withholding Tax, VAT and Corporate Income tax across IPG agencies including IPG LLP. - Responsibility includes managing day-to-day operations, filing returns and making payments on time, handling audit, new development, process changes etc. The Team Leader will be assisting the R2R Manager with workload management, supervising associates in transaction processing and conducting data &amp; process analysis as required. - Review, approve and ensure compliance of the following: - Provision calculation, filing preparation and remittance - Service tax, VAT, TDS, Withholding tax - Timely payments to tax bank accounts and vendor related TDS payments processing - Support Associates and Senior Associates with audits - Service tax, VAT, client's audit - Calculations related to provision for TAX deferred income tax and effective tax rate for quarterly tax reporting to network - Support provided to Agency Local Finance - tax inquires, IPG LLP related compliances and transfer pricing assessment - Timely completion of JV's for Tax compliances Other activities: - Ensure the financial controls are in-place for indirect tax compliances and effective across the Shared Services Centre (SSC) - Manage internal and external audit process when necessary - Report monthly performance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement - Provide support in GST migration - Provide enhanced level of customer service to external groups (IPG network agencies) - Drive process improvements and efficiency ensuring common processes are applied to all agencies and leading practices are adopted through staff training and system enhancements - Ensure processes operate within the Group's Sarbanes Oxley programme and Standard Policy and Procedure - Provide valuable feedback to staff through annual performance appraisals a Knowledge and Experience Essential: - 7-9 years of work experience in Indirect Tax Compliances out of which minimum 2-4 years in Team Lead/Supervisory role - Experience in Advertising industry preferred - Minimum Education Qualification - B. com/M. com/Chartered Accountant - Management of a high transaction volumes business, with good knowledge of associated controls and procedures - Knowledge of statutory requirements in relation to Tax &amp; Compliance - Ability to provide high level of customer service for the R2R process - Strong written and oral communications skills in English - Strong problem solving, team management and organizational skills - Experience in managing people and processes through a sustained period of change - Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) - Experience in SAP, Vantage/similar ERP systems A distinct advantage: - Experience working in a Shared Services Centre focused on Finance &amp; Accounting activities - Experience in document imaging software like SharePoint - Good knowledge of working with Government Portal and integrating with ERP
