Education: B.Tech./ M.Tech from a reputed institute ( Computer Science/Electronics /telecommunication/ mechanical) No Biotechnology

Years of Experience: Minimum of 4-10 years- experience in patent practice with primary focus on prosecution of patent applications for US and other foreign jurisdictions in electronics, telecommunications, computers, and mechanical fields.

Location: Bangalore

Candidates with less experience may also apply for this position, provided they have experience in preparing at least 100 office action responses for submission in US/European Patent Offices over the last 2 years and able to independently formulate a strategy for overcoming the issues raised by the patent examiner and draft a response.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review office actions and analyze rejections and objections

2. Prepare technical arguments/amendments to claims to overcome the rejections and objections

3. Draft office action response as per the requirements in various jurisdictions

4. Interact with other engineers, attorneys, and inventors at various stages during the assignment

5. Mentor and provide training to junior engineers

6. Perform other patent portfolio development projects such as drafting patent specification, claims review and analysis, invention disclosure review and analysis etc.

7. Support other patent related projects as required
