We have footprints in 4 major states of the Eastern region of India serving 15000+ customers. We are seeking an extraordinarily smart Category manager who will be looking after sales optimization of particular category of products. It is a pivotal role that will contribute to the evolution and success of one of the key priorities of the organization. Joining the team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITY : 1. Strategize positioning of a product category in order to maximize its visibility and sales 2. Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories 3. Engage with key brands in the category to bring in exclusive selection, advertising revenues and customer offers 4. Pricing an overall promotion of the product category so that it appeals to the consumers. 5. Work with customers and merchandisers and find new ways of expanding product categories 6. Be the functional leader in improving catalog quality and driving conversion/customer engagement improvement through catalog initiatives. 7. Own catalog quality and raise the bar by inventing new ways to engage with customers 8. Make the profit side of P&amp;L appealing to the management 9. Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products 10. Be the MAN manager and influence the team to work for the estimated goals REQUIREMENTS : 1. In depth knowledge of category management statistics and its impact on P&amp;L. 2. Sound understanding of marketing and sales operations and processes 3. Decent data analytical and problem-solving skills. 4. Efficient sales forecasting to justify the budget and achieve the desired goals 5. Exceptional leadership and time, task, and resource management skills 6. Proficient in negotiation and have clear communication skills. 7. Advanced skills in MS Office, with focus on MS Excel. EXPERIENCE : 1. Minimum 5 years of proven experience as category manager/category head 2. Must be from FMCG industry, preferably e-commerce QUALIFICATION : 1. Graduate and above are eligible with great academics results 2. SALARY: 25.00-30.00 LPA( with lucrative Equity plans) LOCATION : Kolkata
