Investment Research Specialist/Vice President - Buy Side Equity - Asset Management Firm

Position: Investment Research Specialist (VP) - Buy Side Equity - Asset Management Firm

Role:

- Will work on providing India macro research support to an international team as well as fundamental company specific investment research including business, commercial and financial due diligence on potential Indian listed companies

- Will also work on providing research on the Indian macro environment/ politico-economic environment

- In addition, the candidate will be involved in research projects for the broader Asian macro environment

- Providing regular reports and metrics on portfolio companies to key stakeholders

- Provide analytical support to the international team on business assessment, strategic initiatives, market developments/trends as well as regulatory changes with the objective of ensuring a sustainable investment portfolio

- Going forward could assist in fund management

- Work closely with global teams

Requirements :

- MBA/ CA

- 7-11 years of financial services experience in Equity Research, preferably at a research house or asset management company

- Analytical and detail-oriented research analyst collecting, analyzing and interpreting data from a top-down and bottom-up perspective for equity investment strategies

- Ability and interest to interact with clients as well as C-suite and key stakeholders at public companies

- Experience in working with global teams in Asia, the Middle East and Europe a clear plus

- Experience of working across sectors will be preferable

- The ideal candidate has a strong interest in economics, politics, business assessment, strategic initiatives, monitoring of market developments/trends as well as keeps himself/herself up to date on regulatory as well as climate change related objectives, ultimately to benefit an active investment management approach

- Entrepreneurial attitude, willingness to think outside the box

- Exceptional problem solving skills using analysis, sound logic and judgement, evaluate alternatives and recommend options and scenarios

- Technical flair or ability to working with programming languages a clear plus

- Willingness to travel across India to meet portfolio companies with some international travel to Europe required

- Understanding of FDI and FPI investment management as well as different investment strategies, the regulatory framework, and requirements

- Good oral and written English communication skills (more languages are a plus)
