Role Description

- Build frameworks & structures to ensure sustainable methods to ensure high compliance & controls health index of the company.

- Responsible for making sure that the company is operating in full compliance with internal processes, legal regulations and industry-specific guidelines.

- Conduct or initiate internal audits to ensure the controls & compliance are being implemented in spirit & in words.

- Leads external audits.

Key Responsibilities

- Accountable for compliance & controls health index of the company.

- Mobilize processes standardization, controls, compliance & audit initiatives across the organization.

- Provide inputs into overall compliance & controls health index of the company.

- Drive sensitization & education drives for staff.

- Monitor internal policies and bylaws. In the event of regulatory &/or compliance risks or misconduct, compliance & audit officer (role), address concerns and find solutions to these challenges.

- Ensures compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; and recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.

- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.

- Ensure timely & proactive alerts, updates, solutions & way forward are shared with the management team.

- Compliance & controls health index of the company.

- Internal audits to ensure the controls & compliance.

- Lead external audits.

Preferred Experience & Background

- Professional with at least 18+ years of functional expertise & experience in compliance & controls as well as Internal & External Audits.

- Must have experience in working with heterogenous team environments
