Inventory Planner

Role Summary :

The inventory planner works closely with global SKF factories and warehouses for ensuring material availability to ensure desired service levels while managing the SKF inventory within the SKF business plan targets. Sub activities include planning, analyzing demand patterns, lead times and capacity situations at factories.

Responsibilities :

- Master Data Management: Establish and monitor product parameters and forecasts to ensure accurate recommended buys (Supply Orders) utilizing SKF DOH-DRP and SO99+ systems for assigned products.

- Assortment Management: Running periodic ABC analysis basis consumption patterns to ensure stocking of the right products. Adding new products as and when identified as per customer demand.

- Inventory Management:

- Run inventory entitlement analysis to track inventory

- Meet or exceed aggressive service levels, availability expectations and inventory optimization targets by successfully executing inventory replenishment orders and processes for assigned suppliers and product lines.

- Proactively analyze inventory profile in terms of On hand stock, incoming stocks, inventory obsolescence and take appropriate actions to meet SKF Business Plan targets.

- Provide recommendations and drive projects to improve inventory turns and inventory as a percent to sales.

- Develop and monitor product exit plans to reduce unproductive inventory.

- Implement and execute VMI for top Distributors in Industrial Market.

- Analyze data and processes using tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Service Now etc. to drive improvements to the overall replenishment process and business results.

- Proactively address supply and demand chain issues to enable open communications and quick resolutions between Suppliers, Manufacturing Units, Sales, Customer Service and the Logistic Services team.

- To drive S&OE process with India for various business units.

- To develop and prepare ad hoc reports to analyze and demonstrate progress of processes and projects as required.

Competencies :

- Good aptitude.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure and perform data analysis.

- Experience with multiple product lines in a multi-site manufacturing environment preferred.

- Knowledge of DRP will be added advantage.

- Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suite.

- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.

Candidate Profile :

- Engineer / Graduate, preferably in operations, logistics or supply/demand chain management or engineering.

- Good to have MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) but not mandatory.
