Interview Kickstart - Associate Director - Product Marketing

ABOUT INTERVIEW KICKSTART :

We are a fast-growing startup in today's growing tech market. We are building the world's best interview preparation platform that provides a fast-track to better jobs at prestigious companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix, and Amazon.

As the first Product Marketing hire at Interview Kickstart, you'll lead a variety of strategic initiatives on a global scale, and are critical to the growth of the company. You'll be the voice of the customer and translate data and insights into learnings that help define our curriculum and product roadmap. You'll lead the go-to-market for new programs and create the materials we use to market and sell our programs throughout the funnel.

Our ideal candidate for the position of Associate Director of Product Marketing: You have a strong background in consumer product marketing. You are a gifted writer and have experience understanding new customer segments and creating marketing content for every stage of their buying journey. Finally, you are comfortable working with channel marketers, copywriters, designers, and developers.

What You'll Do :

- This role is a foundational hire for Interview Kickstart. You'll be the first product marketer within our fast-growing startup.

- Inbound Product Marketing

- Develop a keen understanding of our customers. Lead quantitative and qualitative user research to understand our ideal customer profile and their pain points

- Define the competitive landscape and our strategic positioning within it

- Determine the right product assortment, pricing, and packaging to maximize customer adoption

- Outbound Product Marketing

- Drive efforts to improve conversion rate optimization of our paid ads, product pages, and paid ad landing pages.

- Drive efforts to create new, more powerful evidence to support our marketing claims, for example salary increase data and customer testimonials.

- Continuously write and iterate upon product marketing and sales enablement assets including webinar decks, sales scripts, battlecards, and email templates

- Go-to-market Planning & Execution for New Course Launches

- Create the go-to-market plan across channels for scaling up new courses

- Understand the specific target audiences in depth and create all core marketing collateral (brochures, email templates, ads, course page, landing pages) to resonate with them

- Ensure a smooth execution of the GTM plan across all channels - paid, earned and owned

Requirements :

- 5+ years experience in product marketing

- Excellent at articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy. You can play copywriter if needed

- Experience leading the creation of marketing and sales content and measuring success of those assets

- An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment that requires you to take things from 0-100 under minimal supervision

- Ability to wear multiple hats on a regular basis and do whatever it takes to get the job done

- Must have all or strive for all these attributes: leadership, ambition, mastery, motivation, intellectual curiosity, continual improvement, adaptability, and grit.

- Must be able to take constructive criticism under a high-pressure environment.

- True passion for Interview Kickstart's mission and an interest in web development

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience at medium- or late-stage startups

- Experience specifically with consumer or SMB marketing and sales enablement

- Experience marketing to developers or marketing within the recruiting and staffing industry

- A degree or background in computer science/software engineering
