International Taxation Role - Foreign Portfolio Investment - BFSI

1. Independently handling FPI tax and international tax assignments including :

- Taxation of Foreign Portfolio Investors

- FPI's Annual Tax Return Filing

- Withholding tax advisory and certification

- Advisory on international tax issues

- Structuring of inbound investments

- Handling Certifications required for foreign payments/remittances

- Representation before tax authorities

- Client interface, liaison, and relationship

- Managing a team including qualified accountants

- Working on developing company's practice and developing relationships with clients, custodians, administrators, and other multiplier relationships.

- Dealing with FPIs and FIIs in particular and financial services sector more generically

- Must have good knowledge of Financial services sector including FPIs

- Income-tax (domestic and international tax)

- Good knowledge on an interpretation of double tax avoidance agreements

- knowledge on taxation of capital gains and interest income.

- Income tax compliance, planning, and advisory for FPIs

- Representation before tax authorities

- Working knowledge on International tax structuring

2. Experience in/exposure to FEMA will be an added advantage
