In an ever-growing list of businesses for the group, the role this JD speaks to is a unique opportunity to be part of the leadership team of a recently set up strategic business unit that has been tasked to build a collective of new ventures .

These include:

- B2B: Take a unique portfolio of brands to stores that retail allowing them to offer a new set of brands to their consumers (through SuperStore and offline distribution)

- Pro: A business model that serves the professional community.

- International Business: Taking consumer brands to new markets: Build and oversee a Global marketing team

If you have the capability, energy, and passion to design, lead and execute our ambitious growth agenda, build a strong team, and take charge of a holistic marketing mandate from conceptualisation to last mile execution, we would like to meet you.

A strong understanding of business drivers, innovative thinking, strategic mindset and an analytical bent of mind all of which is rooted in a consumer-first approach will be a foundational strength for success in this job. Being able to provide clear direction to a diverse set of people in the team will be an imperative. As we rapidly scale, the ability to navigate complexity with speed and deliver results at scale will be key.

This role will report to the CEO - B2B with a dotted line to the Group CMO.

Past Experience:

A strong consumer and customer orientation, foundational experience in building consumer brands and having led a growth and retention charters in consumer tech business is a must.

Key deliverables:

- Identify key drivers for each and develop a 'consumer first' plan

- Champion deep consumer, category, market, competition understanding

- Best in Class, brand specific plans for key growth contributors

- Creative and distinctive campaign thinking for the category and key brands

- 360 degree launches for brands /markets

- Build a complete marketing team across brand, content, performance and, retention

Some further detail to bring colour to each individual business:

B2B:

- Customer and Shopper insights and analytics to guide marketing design

- Partner cross functional teams in sales, trade marketing, design and product to optimize for user journey of retailer

- Partner acquisition via a targeted offline and digital marketing plan to onboard retailers

- Ideating & Executing a Retention and Loyalty plan that helps improve app visits and transactions

- Build awareness and affinity for Superstore with retailers

Pro:

- Refine Proposition: What is our unique value proposition and how do we communicate it across touchpoints

- Consumer insights: Continuous learning loop from mining insights that feed back into marketing execution and business decisions

- Acquisition and Retention: offline and online including loyalty/ rewards etc.

- Content as a core differentiator: Digital first

- drive engagement

- enhance skills of the customer

- Partner the business in defining the jobs to be done and the resultant actions thereon - onsite, offline and from a marketing POV to deliver the business and brand metrics.

International business:

- Understanding the market, consumer, and competition

- Clarify portfolio and positioning (global brand guardrails vs local nuances)

- Partner the business in developing the entry strategy (brand building strategy) unique to that market

- Design and deploy the marketing plan across touchpoints

- Deployment toolkits for resources in the markets

Skills required:

- Strong business acumen and someone who is excited by the challenge of doing things not done before in finding creative solutions to business questions or problems by marrying different data points

- A "first principles' thinker and creative problem solver who has the ability to see, think, apply and do beyond the obvious formulaic ways and models in solving a business problem

- High intrinsic motivation, curiosity, and a self-starter with an ability to take on multiple and complex tasks with ease are key attributes to succeed in a dynamic and galloping environment .

- An execution mindset, willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty with a deep attention to detail

- Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders and peers

- Self-starter who can spot opportunities

- Have great project management and business process design skills

- Relationship builder as success has high co-dependencies across functions

- Confident and articulate communicator with an ability to simplify complex data and ideas

- Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities
