Internal Communications

Job Description :

This position is responsible for managing site- wide company- level employee communications and engages with external stakeholders and media as the primary spokesperson for corporate level events and topics. This position offers a great opportunity to work closely with all dynamic businesses and leadership teams who value communications.

Role responsibilities :

Internal Communications :

- Lead and manage the Internal communications strategy for the companies leaders and HR

- Manage the Internal employee events and communications

- Directly responsible to reach out to employees with relevant communication at the right time so that they are informed, motivated and confident.

- Keep employees updated with companies priorities, performance and market leadership.

- Organize and manage India site employee All Hands and coordinate visits from WW Leaders

- Manage, maintain and drive enhancements to the Intranet site and display units

- Regulate and coordinate printing and display of posters to ensure standardization of communication visuals across TII Sites.

Manage employee Engagement programs :

- Contribute articles ; ensuring articles from India are featured online, monthly as well as manage employee blogs on the Infolink pages.

- Provide communications support for process and tool improvements to internal Leaders and HR.

- Work with and coach leaders on the development and communications of messages that are relevant and motivating to work force/employees

- Responsible for delivering creative, compelling communications (articles, presentations, videos etc.) to employees with regards to supporting HR initiatives and processes in the field of Staffing, Talent Development, Diversity and Benefits.

- Organize Round Tables with focused employee groups from businesses to get a feedback on their understanding of communications priorities and perceptions.

- Support the WW employee communications organization and assist in rollout of corporate level priorities for the company . Work closely with the various communication resources to provide consistent messaging, processes and alignment.

Media Relations :

- Act as primary company spokesperson for corporate-level events and topics.

- Provide media relations counsel and preparation for company spokespeople regarding interviews and interview opportunities.

- Develop issue briefs, response statements, key messages, Q&A, speaking points, sound bites and quotable language for spokespeople.

- Implement opportunistic news communication in advance of the need for issues management.

- Manage media tours, conferences, and/or special events to communicate company news.

- Lead the crisis communications process and act as primary external responder

- Assess the media environment, analyzing local media coverage for trends that would influence company-level opportunities.

- Manage, maintain and drive enhancements to the online portals, communications training program and overall corporate-level communications content.

- Manage activities of our communications agency teams.

- Maintain and build on working relationships with key business and trade reporters and editors

Required Basic Qualifications :

- 7-10 years related experience; Minimum 7 years required.

- Bachelor's Degree in business, HR, communications or journalism, Masters Degree optional.

- Experience designing and implementing an employer brand initiative. Knowledge of the high-tech or semiconductor industries are preferred, but not required.

- Prior experience with employee communications is a must.

- Prior experience working with a marketing communications vendor.

- PC skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint.

- Direct experience working with all levels of an organization.

- Ability to comprehend business scenarios, business challenges/priorities and technology concepts and translate them into meaningful internal and external communications programs that support business priorities

- Ability to influence without authority, executive management presence, coaching, facilitation, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Skilled in understanding print, broadcast and online media, and be able to analyze media news trends.

- Persuasive skills in speaking, writing and competitively positioning the company through news communications are a must.

- Results/deadline oriented.

Required Core Competencies:

Managing Complex Tasks :

Build relationships and accomplish results outside areas of direct influence. Create new, innovative communication campaigns. Perform multiple tasks in parallel.

Demonstrated ability to simplify the complex take the technical jargon and make it consumable, connecting the what and the why. Continuously seek out and identify missed opportunities.
