Job Description : - Develop risk- based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities - Design internal audit procedures and work programs - Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures - Identify key areas of risk within the bank's Group Functions and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks - Assist the Audit Leads / Senior Audit Leads / Audit Vertical Head to align the Audit Programme and deliverables to ever changing risk landscape of the bank and be flexible to change the audit processes / programmes as per the needs of the organisation / regulatory landscape. - The will be a key member of the audit team in the overall hierarchical chain within the bank. - The candidate should have functional expertise (direct / indirect) in executing Internal Audits in the field of Trade Finance or Wholesale Credit / Lending for a banking organisation. Additional Experience in auditing key areas such as Credit Risk (including Scorecards, Early Warning Indicators, Country Risk, Exposure Monitoring, Risk Appetite Statement, Monitoring of Internal and Regulatory Limits, Counterparty Credit Rating Management etc. will be an added advantage. - The candidate should demonstrate effective collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts in Group Audit and the business. - The candidate should demonstrate ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed. Working in a multi task environment without loss of quality is a pre- requisite for this role. - The candidate should be flexible to work across different functions and situations globally, and change priorities at short notice. - Demonstrates ability to think objectively and - think outside the box- when analyzing issues and recommending or developing solutions. - Effective communication skills - oral and written - Ability to foster a participative and cooperative work environment. - Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the bank core values. - Engagement in professional certification activities, including completion of mandatory Bank-sponsored industry certification (e.g. credit etc.) where appropriate. - Professional audit certification (CA) encouraged. CIA or other professional certifications will be an added advantage. - Knowledge of key regulatory changes and their impact on the bank and financing business in particular.
