Intellectual Property Lead

Our client is a leading Indian multinational and one of the very few global leaders in its field. A high-tech manufacturing company with a large telecom products, software and services footprint, they have now moved aggressively into upstream product and solution development within the industry.

The company is now a key player in the country's technology infrastructure modernisation initiatives and is growing rapidly through both expansions and acquisitions

The Job:

Lead the IPR function, IP development, competitor/market intelligence and IP risk management across businesses to effectively influence market dynamic.

Purpose of the role & key responsibilities:

- Develop sustainable high-quality innovation pipeline in partnership with business and technology team in a BU

- Responsible for delivering / enabling / supporting BU-centric patent portfolio development

- Review of invention disclosures, patent search and analysis

- Drive and prepare Evidence-of-Use charts and analysis for licensing

- Preparing technical and IP responses for patent litigations, in collaboration with stakeholders

- Synthesize intelligence and suitably update/educate business/function/technology teams, as required

- Ownership of patent portfolio management for BU

Required competencies and experience:

- Overall 10-14 years, relevant 10+ years of experience.

- Ability to learn and quickly adapt to business priorities

- Expertise in patent search, analysis and EoU charts

- Extensive experience in telecom, mechanical, or optics

- Preferably must be a Registered patent agent

- Post-graduation in Intellectual Property will be an added advantage
