The Position :

The Associate Director will work closely with the Director-Sankalp Forum and Regional Director, Intellecap Africa, as well as the global Sankalp team. The Associate Director will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing a Strategic Business Growth Plan for the Sankalp Forum in Africa to build a sustainable revenue model in the coming years.

The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator and negotiator, who is self-motivated, thrives in entrepreneurial and dynamic environments, and has a proven track record of strategic planning, business development, marketing and multiple stakeholder management. She/he should be capable of creative and non-traditional thinking with experience in market entry strategies and achieving business growth.

More specifically, the candidate will be expected to :

- Develop a detailed Strategic Business Growth plan for expansion, fundraising and partnership development of the Sankalp Forum in Africa, in close collaboration with the Director and the Intellecap leadership team.

- Develop a sustainable financial model to support the Growth Plan.

- Manage, along with the Director, the implementation of the Growth Plan including expansion, fundraising, and partnership aspects.

- Identify, build and manage sponsorships and partnerships with a wide variety of donors, foundations, corporations, investors, academic institutions, government, and other supporting institutions and individuals. Take responsibility along with the Director for achieving an annual fundraising target.

- Innovate and suggest new ideas and approaches to expand revenue streams and partnerships

- Work with Intellecap leadership team in helping identify and develop partnerships and clients at the group level

- Manage the Sankalp team in Africa to effectively execute the growth plan and deliver successful Summits and engagement programs throughout the year

- Develop a strong regional network and keep abreast of trends, news, and events with respect to entrepreneurship, innovation, Inclusive Development, Social Enterprise, Impact Investing, and related topics so that Sankalp Forum maintains its leadership role in Africa
