Responsibilities:

Thought Leadership and Big Data Utilization:

- Act as a thought leader in the field of data science, staying abreast of the latest advancements and trends.

- Harness the potential of big data to empower our organization in scaling up and achieving its strategic objectives.

- Develop and implement innovative approaches to extract, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets.

Team Building and Leadership:

- Build and nurture a high-performing data science team from the ground up, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, empowering them to reach their full potential.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals and objectives.

Sense-Making from Chaos:

- Drive the transformation of raw data into actionable insights, uncovering hidden patterns, trends, and correlations.

- Design and implement robust data analysis methodologies to make sense of complex and unstructured datasets.

- Translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations and actionable plans to drive business growth.

Hands-On Problem Solving:

- Roll up your sleeves and dive into data analysis, modeling, and experimentation to solve complex problems and address key challenges.

- Demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem-solving, leveraging advanced analytical techniques and tools to derive actionable insights.

- Continuously iterate and refine data models, algorithms, and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering,

- Economics or related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience ( >7 years) in a data science or related role, with a track record of driving impactful data-driven initiatives.

- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, as well as experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).

- Extensive knowledge of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools.

- Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and predictive modeling.

- Utilize AI/ML algorithms to develop predictive models, recommendation systems, and other advanced analytics solutions to drive business insights and decision-making processes.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.

- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results amidst ambiguity and complexity.
