Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager (Associate Director) in Indirect Taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of indirect tax laws and regulations, with a focus on compliance, advisory, and strategic planning. This role involves overseeing all aspects of indirect taxation, including VAT/GST, customs duties, excise duties, and other related areas. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with tax laws, minimize tax risks, and optimize tax efficiency

Roles & Responsibilities:

Tax Filings:

Ensure accurate and compliant preparation and filing of tax returns, while also monitoring changes in tax laws and promptly communicating potential impacts to finance and management teams

GST Compliance:

- Lead GST compliance efforts, including timely submission of returns, meticulous management of input tax credit and payments, and conducting routine audits to ensure adherence to GST regulations

Tax Planning & Strategy:

- Collaborate with the finance and management teams to develop tax planning strategies that optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.

- Provide expert advice on tax implications for business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions

Tax Audits & Assessments:

- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities during tax audits and assessments.

- Prepare and submit necessary documentation and responses to address tax queries and disputes.

Risk and Compliance Management:

- Identify and assess tax-related risks, implementing controls and procedures to mitigate potential risks.

- Ensure the company's tax compliance aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Required Skills:

- 10+ years experience in indirect taxation, preferably in a managerial role

- In-depth knowledge of VAT/GST, customs duties, excise duties, and other indirect tax laws and regulations

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members

- Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills

- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance and integrity

- Educational Qualification: CA is mandatory
