Infrastructure Lead_We are looking for who can join in 10 Days of time.


Position Summary : 

The position is responsible for leading an operation and maintenance Infrastructure team for a major 24x7online health services information system; to include data networking, servers, data center migrations, change management, middleware, database, backup and restore, security and disaster recovery services.

Position Functions : 

- At least 10+ years relevant experience including 4+ years of hands-on working experience in Middleware Administration (WebSphere Portal/WAS/Process Servers) and 2+ years of data center migration experience.

- Overall expertise in servers, network, security, databases & cloud-based technical architecture, leading large projects and group meetings.

- Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture and business reviews, and consensus building. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility and business value is also a must.

- Must be able to effectively lead diverse teams of technical engineers and developers in a 24x7 environment.

Knowledge and Experience :

- 4+ years of hands-on working experience in Middleware Administration (WebSphere Portal/WAS/Process Servers) and 2+ years of data center migration experience.

- Experience in managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence.

- Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.

- Experience leading major technology upgrades projects across multiple data center locations.

- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and operating systems.

- Knowledge of current network protocols and standards.

- Experience with network security best practices.

- Application support experience

- Knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies.

- Good knowledge of security as it relates to datacenter based infrastructure

- Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices

- Expected Organizational Roles and Responsibilities

- Directs the daily operation and delivery of the production IT Infra systems.

- Manages services critical to the business and IT systems.

- Provides strategic leadership and tactical oversight in the management of people and operational resources.

- Authors and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and documentation for IT Operations.

- Runs an operational organization meeting service-level objectives, optimizing operational activities and driving visibility into operations through analysis, trends and measurement.

- Create and enhance the measurement of change control processes to drive stability and uptime to production and user systems.

- Oversees problem management processes to identify and proactively rectify incident trends.

- Demonstrates calm diplomacy and professionalism under pressure during rapid change, conflicting demands and crisis management.

- Sets, maintains and improves alerting and monitoring of all systems, applications and critical infrastructure.

- Builds high performance teams through staff development, recruitment and retention.

- Owns production of related incidents including communications, escalations and follow-up for root cause analysis.

- Applies operational oversight to processes and procedures, including any dependencies on third parties

- Liaisons with business units and other teams for production health, function, incident and change

- Works with the business units to communicate important information about system maintenance, changes, events, and to address concerns regarding any aspect of the services

- Owns and coordinates production, incident, changes and related IT problems/issues.

- Produces periodic operational and SLA reports, document and update internal procedures

Operational Management

- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including server (Unix & AIX), middleware (Websphere Suite), database (Oracle, SQL, DB2), security (Tivoli Security Suite)

- Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.

- Support and maintain hardware and software standards

- Test system performance and provide system performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining system integrity.

- Practice IT software asset management, including maintenance of certs and license renewals.

- Manage services delivered by vendors and ensure work is of a high quality and documented.

- Manage daily work activities of Operations and Maintenance Infrastructure / Middleware team.

- Conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
 
Strategy & Planning:

- Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements including disaster recovery and security requirements.

- Develop, implement, maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure operational administration/maintenance and project management.

- Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the Stakeholders, Client and Leadership teams.

- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure operational and development efforts.

- Deliver to established service level agreements and coordinate work efforts with various business units.

- Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.

- Oversee the planning and deployment of infrastructure, cloud and middleware security measures.

- Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for operational projects

- Ability to identify incident trends in order to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols

- Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues

- Communication and customer interactions Expectations :

- Develop & manage customer relationship by effective communication skills to respond to customer on operational standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues

- Maintain open communications with Clients and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery to applicable metrics and service levels.
