Job Description : Consumer & Market Insights Manager

About 99Acres :

About the Role : 99acres.com is transforming to become the most user centered real estate aggregator and is looking for a key person who would help product leadership to consume insights from consumers (buyers, renters, investors) and sellers (owners, brokers, channel partners and builders). This person would play a significant role in influencing product roadmap and long term product and business strategy as well as product development by assimilating raw feedback and translating it into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities of this role would be :

1. Take full ownership of all UX research and run multiple streams of work at one time.

a. Work with Product Managers and UX Designers to identify and conduct user research

b. Create a UX research roadmap for continuous improvement across the product.

c. Own end to end user research - creating research plan, recruiting users, identifying the right research methodology, prototyping, conducting research, data analysis, insight mining and presentation.

d. Meet consumers and sellers to gather information about their requirements and to find out what needs researching, designing or usability testing

e. Collaborate with design team to define intent, development, testing, and refinement of prototypes.

f. Design and execute a variety of research studies, including user testing, field studies, usability tests, concept tests, group discussions, and so on.

2. Feedback assimilation and insight generation

a. Compile feedback from various user touchpoints, including but not limited to, different user studies, app store feedback, in-site feedback, internal/ external stakeholder feedback.

b. Analyse and mine this feedback to present monthly trends and insights

c) Partner with design team, product managers, marketing and development teams to understand business needs, and design appropriate research studies to generate user-focused insights

d) Be the voice of the user on your team, alongside the Product Managers, ensuring that the products we deliver solve the customers' problems while meeting commercial goals.

e) Be able to influence product and design decisions with excellent interpersonal skills.

f) Unify quantitative data with qualitative data to help drive product and design decisions

Requirements and Skills :

- Min of 5 years of experience in user research, usability testing, qualitative and quantitative analysis,

- Knowledge of user research techniques, such as usability testing, heuristic analysis, tree testing, card sort exercise, generative user research, descriptive research, evaluative research, mouse & click tracking research, user interviews, surveys, focus groups, competition benchmarking and analysis, quantitative research, etc.

- Usage of user research tools, such as Hotjar, Figma, and others.

- Good communication skill and empathy to be able to connect with users and get deep insights

- Critical thinking and problem solving helps to establish an unbiased approach to the research and the product.

- Proven competency in data analytics and qualitative aspects of UX research.
