We are presently looking for a highly experienced, sharp and self-driven individual who can own the entire private label function and help align the private label category with the company's growth strategy. Reporting directly to the founders the incumbent would be responsible for the following: Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Own entire private label vertical of the organization; from P&L management to procurement to category management. 2. Determine the buying requirements and formulate buying plan and budget for the Private Label brands/products, based on the analysis of the historical trends and future forecasts 3. Ensure identification of buying opportunities to source products domestically and internationally and to ensure that the business unit maintains its competitive edge by constant renegotiation 4. Drive margin and portfolio expansion while working with various channels to drive sales. 5. Proactively drive sourcing activities in collaboration with stakeholders to complete procurement objectives. 6. Track and evaluate Private Label brand/product sales performance, market sales trends and competitor trading activities to identify critical business factors and proposed action plans to increase sales and profitability 7. Consolidate and analyze actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales/inventories on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to drive sales, bottom-line profitability and inventory targets to meet or exceed financial goals 8. Strong category management skills which include conducting opportunity analysis, supplier competitive landscape, supplier selection, supplier management, process optimization and execution of agreements. 9. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to implement and manage effective supplier relationships, and identify and implement opportunities/processes to influence improvement in service, quality, delivery, cost and optimal payment terms. 10. Evaluation of contracts to drive continuous value to the business. Interface with Legal in reviewing and recommending changes to proposed contracts 11. Strive towards continuous vendor improvement and increase the brand partnerships Desired candidate profile: 1. 8-10 years of experience in sourcing from the APAC region 2. 5-6 years of dedicated experience in owning private label product management with a proven track record of margin and portfolio expansion 3. Proven experience in driving private label sales across various sales channels 4. Excellent analytical abilities with a strong command of MS Excel 5. Strong negotiation skills, ability to multi-task and liaise with various stakeholders 6. B.E./B. Tech from a tier I-II institute preferred
