- Esri India is a joint venture of NIIT Technologies Limited and Esri Inc. With its headquarter in California, Esri is the global leader for GIS software. ESRI India distributes Esri's products, and other complementary products in India and a few neighboring countries and also provides GIS application development and data conversion services globally.

- Our product business has been steadily growing and we are now looking to hire new talent to take this business to greater heights.

- As part of growth plans we would like to bring on board a senior leader to lead our government segment. This is a General Manager level position and will report to the India Sales Head.

Job Description :

This position would be responsible for growing product business with primary focus on the Government Segment.

Esri India's industry managers work very closely with the regional sales teams in identifying opportunities, leverage from existing and new relationships, bringing-in solution architects and technical consultants to propose compelling solutions, guiding teams in PoC and demos, closing deals and managing customer relationships.

Following are some of the expectations from this position :

- Should have experience in qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process.

- Strong leadership skills. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.

- Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important.

- Should be able to direct Sales / Regional Managers across the country. Should be able to build relationships with ISVs and other complimentary solutions providers.

- Should be able to work closely with the marketing team to roll-out suitable programs.

Job Requirements :

- BE/B.Tech./MBA or similar qualification in a relevant discipline. About 20 years of experience and a proven track record in managing IT / Product Sales.

- Prior exposure to GIS will be a distinct advantage.

- Should have managed teams of sales managers.

- Excellent time management skills.

- Ability to take ownership.

- Good analytical capabilities.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent presentation skills.

- Success factors include Business Acumen; Negotiation skills; directing others; Hiring and Staffing; Planning; Action Oriented; Dealing with Ambiguity; Risk taking.
