Chartered Accountant with 15-20 years post qualification experience in large manufacturing set up. Hands-on experience and exposure in Oracle and Microsoft excel is must. Job Purpose a) Responsible for day to day accounting and banking operations of the company including supervision and guidance to team b) Prepare budget on yearly basis and present to management for approval and sign off forecasts on quarterly basis based on YTD actuals as per agreed timelines c) Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with appropriate International and local standards and regulation d) Lead the team for preparation of the Annual Report for the company e) Conduct Balance Sheet &amp; Profit and Loss Analysis f) Participate in activities related to global tax compliance and transfer pricing g) Review and report on cash and bank position of company h) Own and periodically update the Group Accounting policies and manual and make managers and employees aware of the existing corporate, policies and procedures, and control implementation and respect for those policies. i) Identify control weakness; enhance control environment, by building a scalable and sustainable control environment that removes duplication and inefficiencies end to end. j) Managing and assisting internal and external audits adhoc tasks and analysis Key Attributes A. Financial and Management Reporting i. Applies an understanding of the technical aspects of finance and accounting appropriate to the organisation - Is familiar with the structure and relationship of financial statements including statement of financial position (balance sheet), statement of comprehensive income (profit and loss), statement of cash flow, and statement of changes in equity - Is familiar with the accounting cycle and its typical functions, common accounting entries, relationship with financial statements and critical accounting records, including revenue, expenditure, payroll, conversion, and treasury - Is familiar with sector specific financial reporting and management issues such as the treatment of government appropriations and forward estimates - Can understand financial statements and calculate common financial ratios - Understands how cost of capital is calculated - Is familiar with the difference between equity and debt - Is familiar with the business development life cycle - Is familiar with day to day banking operations ii. Applies an understanding of management accounting appropriate to the organisation Demonstrates an understanding of cost concepts and cost systems (including variable costing, full costing, marginal costing and activity based costing) iii. Manage financials and accounting operations - Provide input and assist in preparing financial statements with respect to applicable accounting policies and standards international as well as local. - Review monthly controller checklist. - Verify variances and perform monthly controlling checks. - Assist with internal and external audit activities. - Promote the principles of good accounting practices and ensure compliance with internal controls. iv. Undertake reporting activities - Initiate, develop and manage management information focusing on cost management, asset management, and inventory management. - Obtain explanations from the Business for the variations reported and document in the management report. - Manage and optimize the management reporting process. v. Support the Management to strengthen the procedures - Work with the Finance Leadership how to improve and strengthen the existing financial procedures and practices. - Lead controlling activities and implementing necessary controls and built processes to achieve the objectives of timely and high-quality operations and Budgetary controls. - Responsible for the implementation of reliable systems and procedures for capex controlling. B. Budgeting i. Support in budgeting and forecasting tasks - Lead, coordinate and control the annual budget planning process and ensure translation of the plans into controllable financial performance indicators for the site. - Should support in preparing details for budgets for sales and expense and assist in making various forecasting exercise. - Monitor and perform variance analysis of the approved budget vis-vis actuals during the period. Liaise with business and document explanations for the variations. ii. Assist in evaluation of investment(Capital Expenditure) - Challenge and support the management team in executing the financial decision-making process; various improvement projects, capital projects. - Execute investment calculations and implement costing models as well as execute financial performance analysis (e.g. working capital analysis, product &amp; process cost analysis). - Monitors and control progress of approved Capital expenditure - Participate in projects aimed at analysing financial performance or at improving business
