Individual Contributor Role - Market Risk - Bank

We are currently Looking for Market Risk in Global Bank.

Location :Mumbai

Freshers to AVP level.

Overall purpose of role

As a AVP ICT ( CRIS Mumbai ) will be the location lead for the Initiatives Coordination team in Mumbai - participating in and being a key contributor towards tactical/strategic global Market Risk initiatives from Mumbai . This is an individual contributor role .

The key expectation of the role will be to be the technical lead on all critical in-house tools - take responsibility for the maintenance of existing tools as well as be able to build new tools as and when required.

Key Accountabilities

- Take ownership of all critical Excel VBA spreadsheet/Access DB tools and ensure that the tools are well maintained

- Make improvements and enhancements to these toolsets as and when required

- As the location lead for the Initiatives Coordination team,

Become the subject matter expert on key production processes being run out of Mumbai to ensure that the right set of changes could be initiated through the Change/IT teams and that the best product gets delivered from a CRIS perspective.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

Participate in the assigned initiatives and feed in to the projects at all stages of the project life cycle

Collate feedback from Mumbai team members to ensure that production concerns are appropriately channelled into the strategic/tactical initiatives

Liaise with the CRIS onshore teams as well as with the relevant Change/IT teams to migrate the tactical EUC processes on to strategic platforms

- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal client Policies and Policy Standards

Person Specification

- Excellent communication skills

- Good knowledge of Risk, especially Market Risk concepts and methodologies

- Strong IT skills. Programming skills in Excel VBA/Access VBA is mandatory

- Experience in building, managing, and improving processes.

- Prior experience in the Risk space will beneficial

- Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline ( Financial Engineering, Financial-Math)

- Degree/Skills in Computer programming

- Additional Certification in Risk ( FRM ) will be an added advantage

- Good knowledge of Risk Measures, sensitivity-computation methodologies

- Proficient in the use of IT Systems; ability to quickly come up the curve on in-house systems.

- Proficient in programming languages - Excel VBA, Access VBA SQL

- Highly motivated, energetic individual with a strong process engineering and quality control focus.

- Comfortable liaising with the department's wide range of business partners that span globally,

- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

- Team player and lead - willing to take on incremental responsibilities.

- Ability to cope with change and very tight deadlines

- Ability to deal with senior stake holders across different time zones
