Indirect Taxation Role - EPC Industry

JOB DESCRIPTION.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Calculation of various indirect taxes / Verification of calculated amounts.

2) Review and finalise various tax related matters

3) Follow up on various pending matters with various agencies including clients and government bodies

4) Timely filing of returns

5) Obtain required approvals and registrations from various agencies

6) Audit of various tax related records

7) Obtain unsettled claims from government bodies and clients

8) Co-ordinate with technical team and Finance & Accounts department for various taxation related issues.

9) Claims management

10) Contract validation

11) Invoicing / Billing & collections

Requirement is a combination of roles which drives Commercial negotiations like resolution of tax claims, handling assessments independently & at the same time should also have the capability to drive business revenues, collection, margin & claim process.

KEY FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

1) Demonstrated ability to obtain unsettled claims from various agencies including government and clients

2) Accurate and specific documentation skills

3) Thorough knowledge and experience of practical application of taxation laws w.r.t. EPC industry - strong conceptual clarity

4) Accounting of taxes in lines with latest legislation
