We are seeking a Communications & Content Manager with strong content creation & writing skills, who can drive Internal, External & CSR communications for IndiGo. Based in Gurgaon, the candidate will be responsible for employee communications, media relations, reputation management, CSR communications/engagement and leadership communications among others.

The Manager will report to the VP - Corporate Communications and will need ensure the brand is presented consistently and effectively. The person must also ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

External Communications & CSR:

- Promote and protect the brand and reputation through media relations.

- Actively promote and position the company's business.

- Support senior management in various external and stakeholder engagements.

- Drive CSR communications/engagement initiatives of the company

- Work closely with regional teams.

- Contribute to integrated communications planning across External Communications,

- Corporate Communications, Marketing, Events and Environmental, Social and Governance

Internal Communications:

- Working with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications to deliver the internal communications strategy and engagement plan. Ensuring that business goals, initiatives and people news are communicated effectively and in line with our values - committed, creative and collaborative.

- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.

- Plan, edit and write high quality creative communication material/content through your own work and working through others in the team, for a variety of internal communications mediums, monthly magazine/newsletter, or regular email bulletins, ensuring the most effective channels and tactics are used within stand-alone and on-going communications so communication is clear and aligned with our business strategy.


- You may also be required to work on the layout of content.

- Build and foster relationships across business functions to understand requirements and ensure employees are engaged and informed whether they are based remotely or at our head office.

- Maintain and update engagement platforms including the intranet/blog.


- Handling of staff intranet with regular updates as soon as press releases, twitter updates and internal updates are published. Manage and continuously improve overall channel infrastructure, utilizing insight from evaluation to ensure effective targeting of messages. Regularly audit channel requirements to ensure they are a good fit for our culture and strategies.

- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent with external communication messages and across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.

- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly.

- Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation when required.

- Maintaining communication records, updates and data sheets.

Skills Requirements/Qualifications:

- Exceptional track record with 8/10 years' experience with a multi-national organization or similar aviation business.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Understanding of Indian and international business media, with established media relationships.

- Excellent understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance landscape.

- Experience in crisis management and content creation for the aviation industry.

- An enthusiastic self-starter with multi-tasking abilities.

- Ability to continually develop skills related to use of rapidly changing technology and communications best practices.

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with communications tools and channels and familiarity with other software.
