About I-PAC : Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) is the platform of choice for students and young professionals to participate in and make meaningful contributions to political affairs and governance of the country, without necessarily being part of a political party. Started as Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) in 2013, I-PAC has brought some of the best minds from diverse academic and professional backgrounds together and provided them with a unique opportunity to become a part of the election process and influence policy making in India. I-PAC works with visionary leaders with a proven track record. In the process, the group helps them set a citizen-centric agenda and partners with them to conceptualize &amp; implement the most effective methods of taking it to the public and gathering mass support. - One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.- Plato About the Project - Bihar The - Youth in Politics- project of I-PAC is working towards solving the problem emanating from India's gerontocracy. Never before has an endeavor of this scope and scale been attempted in the country. We have set forth this path with a vision to transform the political landscape by ensuring greater participation of youth into active electoral politics at the grassroot level. As first steps towards realising this goal, we have launched an ambitious project to make electoral representation in Bihar more accessible and inclusive. The idea is to educate, empower and mentor the young candidates from across the state, by giving them access to right tools &amp; training and in the process, make the local elections more development-oriented and citizen-centric. I-PAC has a history of walking the path where no one has ever ventured. The YIP initiative provides opportunity for motivated professionals to be the change they want to see in the world starting with our country. Who is I-PAC looking for? Basic requirements include but are not limited to the following: 1. Undergraduate/Postgraduate qualifications from premier global educational institutes 2. Hands on leadership or Project Management experience 3. Willingness to travel extensively and working in a 24/7 environment 4.
