India Lead/Director/ Principal Architect- Group Architecture

Overview: The GA India Lead - Principal Architect drives the definition of the Architecture Blue Print for the Bank, a corporate division, several businesses or one business within a division. They ensure that the Architecture Blue Print is aligned with the Target State Architecture for the Bank, utilising the Bank's Architecture Framework (dbAF) and focusing on an optimised and efficient end-to-end technology to support the business processes. The Principal Architect Influences the organisation and the engineering community in particular to deliver solutions that comply with the Architecture Blue Print and with the Target State Architecture of the Bank.


Key Responsibilities

- Acts as a counterpart of London GA Leadership in India fostering the collaboration among cross location team enabling a culture of innovation and fast-paced delivery mechanism in the growing Pune team

- Build /Mentor and grow high performing and innovative GA India team .

- Evaluates current GA tool sets/Business Applications and find out and implement ways to optimize them through technology or any other alternate means.

- Fostering the relationships with multiple teams using GA solutions and find out the ways to improve the overall GA solutions pattern by using new age tools and technologies

- Ensures all procedures and supporting know ledge for our Business Applications are documented for reference and that all of the members of the IT team are trained to handle any questions pertaining to the portfolio

- Supports communications between GA, users and senior managers a leadership stakeholders

- Performs management tasks for the team - duties include conducting employee review's, handling employee complaints, and dividing the workload among members of the team

- Actively supports the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high performance culture

- Personally contributes in an environment where people development is the number one priority

- Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

- Acts as a role model for new employees, providing help and support to facilitate early integration and assimilation of their new environment

- Highlights performance issues within the team, where appropriate, to drive for high performance

Experience / Exposure

- 18+ years Relevant experience in IT(Development, Architecture and performing POCs on latest technologies) and Financial Services

- Broad know ledge of related Business Applications and underlying technologies involved in the marketplace

- Experience in managing senior/Diverse Technology and Business Teams, ability to lead and coach

- Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders

- Know ledge of Quality Management tools and techniques

- Well-developed IT, Team Leader and People Management experience

- Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organization

- Ability to work in fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication skills

- Fluent in Indian and English (written/verbal)
