India Economy & Business Analysis - Director & CoFounder - Business Development - Content/Subscription Sales

Looking for an energetic individual with a positive mindset to take up the role of Business Development Director for the portal - indiaeconomyandbusiness.com. The portal is being run on paid subscription basis and has already secured subscription from IIM Ahmedabad and is under trial at 10 other IIMs. The task now is to reach out to other management institutes and take the model forward.

The portal has been founded by an IIT-IIM alumnus with over two decades of experience and the content has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. (To quote another entrepreneur - You have an awesome product!). The portal has the potential to build as much reach as the leading business dailies. Going forward, content would be translated in HIndi also, to be sold primarily on B2C basis.

The task include complete sales cycle which is :

- Introduce the concept to management institutes, primarily the libraries, supported by trial access.

- Keep track, follow-up and close the sale deal.

- Develop a longer term strategy to tap other market segments.

- Address after-sales concerns.

Requirements :

- MUST HAVE HANDLED CONTENT/SUBSCRIPTION SALES TO LIBRARIES.

- Should have the ability to understand and communicate new ideas.

- Should be willing to come out of the comfort zone and enter unchartered territory.

- Be able to visualize and see the larger picture.

Compensation:

The compensation would involve a base salary, variable linked to revenue generation and a chance to own equity.
