Position Title: Head of Donor Relations

Purpose of the role
To provide leadership to the Donor Relations segment to evolve our crowd funding platform into a world class experience for our fundraisers and a tool for providing intelligent insights for our internal team.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Maintain strong relationships with existing donors, ensuring they feel appreciated and are kept up to date about the organization.
2. Develop, implement, and lead a successful and integrated donor relations program that strategically targets all levels of giving as defined by the team. Ensures donors are acknowledged and recognized to strengthen their financial support for the organization.
3. Conceptualize new strategies & ensure successful roll-out of gifts to our donors on special occasions to maintain the relationship.
4. Arrange meetings between donors and beneficiaries if appropriate, and to help celebrate gifts.
5. Engage with & maintain excellent relations with Individual & corporate donors including acknowledgment & recognition.
6. Provide direction to the team & personally drive efforts to ensure targets for the department are met consistently
7. Prepare & present department budgets.
8. Maintain a database of donors, track gifts, and fulfill reporting requirements to all stakeholders.
9. Supervise fundraising event coordination.
10. Drive cost efficiencies to ensure overall profitability of the department & the organization.
11. Engage with & maintain excellent relations with top management, technology team & other representatives of partner hospitals, other medical providers, other partnerships & alliances with the objective to expand business revenue streams
12. Drive efforts for continuous process improvement
13. Ensure timely & accurate reporting by all team members
14. Ensure compliance with organization policies by all team members.

1. Developing new donor engagement best practices from time to time.
2. Deep understanding of Indian donor mindset - individual, HNWI, or corporate.
3. Act as a consultant to players in both corporate and social sectors & ability to pitch products that fit their growth plan.
4. Client servicing skills and excellence in using PowerPoint.
5. Team performance on targets
6. Team management on other attributes: complaints, attrition, etc.
7. Cost efficiencies achieved
8. Pace of development assistance for penetrating new markets, driving new business models, building new revenue streams
9. Timely & accurate reporting
10. Deliver to COO, CEO & Co-Founders expectations
Key interactions:
1. Internal: ImpactGuru Co-Founders & their office, product development team members, operations, business development, finance, HR, legal, et al.
2. External: Individual & Corporate donors, Hospitals & other medical providers (Executive Board, C-level executives & other representatives), Doctors, Campaigners, ImpactGuru investors, Auditors
Professional Experiences :
1. Minimum 5 year of prior Fundraising & donor relations experience interacting with hospitals, organizations & universities.
2. Basic event planning experience for the social sector.
3. Strong network of existing relationships with hospitals, organizations & universities.
4. Strong network of existing nonprofit donors (a huge plus)
5. Sincere passion to change the world.
6. Prior experience in a start-up environment is definite plus
7. Directly reporting to CEO, Co-Founders for at least 2 years (mandatory)
8. Experience of directly engaging with C-level executives of clients
Qualifications :
- MBA or Bachelors degree from a reputed college (MBA / Social Sector related degree a plus) or equivalent practical experience. (mandatory)
