IMImobile - Manager - Analytics

The candidate will be responsible for developing useful models from large scale data and work on enhancing statistical & predictive models. The candidate need to work on data to derive insights and improve data quality with focus on developing novel data mining and machine learning algorithms that incorporate big data concepts and practices. The candidate will be required to work on building research prototypes, detecting data anomalies, developing distributed hybrid architectures for big data analysis, optimizing and building predictive models.

Years of experience & Field of experience:

2-5 years of working experience with Big Data technologies such as - MapReduce, NoSQL/MongoDB /Neo4j, Hive, PIG, Hadoop, Mahout, MySQL, Oracle, Java

Essential Qualifications:

- M.S. or higher in Applied Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

- Working experience and strong understanding of analytics and analytical modeling, principles, and practices

- Specific experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, graph modeling, and data mining techniques

- Working experience with Big Data technologies such as - MapReduce, NoSQL, Hive, PIG and Hadoop

- Adept at Design and Architecture of Scalable Web Applications using technologies such as Java, Scala, Python, Perl, PHP, Shell Scripting, Spring, Lift, Struts, YII, Django, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL / MongoDB / Neo4j, Web Services, Big Data / Hadoop, Mahout

- Coding skills in Java/J2EE and Python is a must

- Skilled in Database Design and Optimization skills

Desired Qualifications :

- Experience in managing a team of Sr. data analyst, data analyst.

- Ability to maintain high quality standards, alongside being self-motivated, a fast learner, and have the drive to research and innovate

- Experience with data preparation and processing such as assessment of data quality, new variable creation, variable selection, ETL, etc.

- Ability to conduct research on predictive analytical modeling issues and practices

- Liaise with various teams such as BI, DBA, etc.

- Participate in database design discussions and develop software that enriches the product feature set while maintaining robustness, scalability and fault-tolerance
