Program Manager - IITB-Fedex Centre for Advanced Logistics and Analytics

About Centre: IITB-Fedex Centre for Advanced Logistics and Analytics has been set up recently at IIT Bombay with a generous donation from FedEx. The goals of the centre are to promote research and development in the areas of logistics, supply-chains and analytics, to help in incubating business ideas in this domain and develop capacity / infrastructure in the institute.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of work plans & deliverables of the centre

- Managing operational aspects of the centre

- Preparation of periodic progress reports and other statements

- Monitor and control the operating budget of the centre

- Drafting calls and invitations for project proposals and announcements for fellowships offered by the centre

- Facilitate review and other meetings in the centre

- Preparation of presentations related to centre activities

- Liaise with external parties / vendors as required

- Coordinating centre activities with other offices in the institute

- Designing and developing new activities of the centre

- Serving as a key liaison with centre external stakeholders, particularly in relations to their advisory and financial support of centre.

- Overseeing daily centre's operations and coordinating activities, prioritizing and delivering the task assigned.

Desired Profile:

- PG/master's degree with over 5-6 years of relevant administrative experience is preferred

- Prior experience of working in IIT/NIT will be preferred

- Knowledge of computer applications is essential

- Good communication skills, both written and oral

- Enthusiasm to take centre forward

Disclaimer: The position is contractual for a period of 1 year but renewable as per Institute's guidelines and tenable only for the duration of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
