Job Purpose

About Centre: C1973 EV Power Train Lab:

The establishment of the EV Power Train Lab will play a crucial role in accelerating India's self-reliance in the early stages of the EV revolution. The Lab emphasises on local design and production that aims to boost self-reliance, decrease the trade deficit, and fortify India's economic resilience. C1973 EV Power Train Lab is actively contributing to reducing dependency on foreign markets by fostering a self-sufficient ecosystem for electric vehicle design and manufacturing within the country.

Vision:

- Become one of the leading R&D laboratories globally for EV Power Trains for small vehicles.

- Be the preferred source of R&D for firms in India to enable innovation and global technology competitiveness.

- Play an important role in manpower training through internal and professional programs.

Key Responsibilities

This role is primarily about the following key responsibilities:

- Ensure Safety, Maintenance, and upkeep of laboratory equipment in EV Power Train Lab.

- Preparation of work plans & deliverables of the projects

- Managing operational aspects of the machinery and equipment's of the projects - Drafting the technical reports of the projects.

- Facilitate project review meetings.

- Liaise with external parties / vendors as required.

- Preparation of periodic reports, financial statements and recording of equipment related special reports for management or outside agencies.

- To manage the procurement, releasing tenders, payout management for vendors, spare parts maintenance.

- Overseeing daily Lab's operations and coordinating activities, prioritizing, and delivering the task assigned.

Desired Profile

Eligibility: -

- Masters / MBA, at least 3 year of corporate experience

- Preference in automotive / EV / manufacturing is preferred

- Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, PCB soldering and testing, product assembly.

Disclaimer:

The position is contractual for a period of 1 year but renewable as per Institute's guidelines and tenable only for the duration of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
