About IFTAS :

- Indian Financial Technology and Allied Services (IFTAS), is promoted by IDRBT (Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology) and for rendering IT services to the Indian Banking and Financial industry.

- IDRBT is an autonomous centre for development and research in Banking Technology, established by the Reserve Bank of India.

Services being rendered by IFTAS include

(a) INFINET, the country-wide secure information technology network.

(b) SFMS, India's backbone inter-bank Financial Messaging Platform used for RTGS, NEFT, etc.

(c) IBCC, the most trusted cloud platform for banks in India.

- The mandate of IFTAS is to provide essential IT-related services, presently being offered by the IDRBT, to the Reserve Bank of India, banks and financial institutions, effectively and efficiently. As these services constitute the backbone of the payment systems operations in India, IFTAS is geared up to provide uninterrupted 24 x 7 high-quality IT-related services to the Indian Banking and Financial Sector.

- IFTAS has been incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 as a non-profit company, reflecting the intention and mandate of the organization as an enabler and facilitator of automation. NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India), which was formed out of IDRBT under a similar initiative in 2009, has gone on to revolutionize the Payments space in India, with successful implementation of RuPay, IMPS, ACH and other services.

- With INFINET and SFMS in steady state operations, IFTAS is focused on expanding its Cloud Services to include the entire gamut of Banking applications, targeted at players in the entire banking sector. IFTAS is looking for self-motivated, service-oriented, technology-savvy personnel who will help scale its operations and take it to a whole new level in innovation, service and size.

(g) Summary: (1) Set the future state of the organization's products and technology infrastructure.

(2) Translation between technology and business. Evangelize IFTAS ideas & initiatives in the market.

(3) Guidance on implementing new and sustaining existing technology platforms. Generate, identify and implement innovative ideas.

(4) Create the most optimal architecture for product and technology requirements. Architect, design and Implement ideas, proof-of-concept proposals.

(5) Aid other groups in the organization in delivery management. Inculcate Design-Thinking in organization.

(6) Take an integrated view of the organization's product and technology footprint and guide in sustaining their integration.

(7) Represent the organization in external fora and be the technology evangelist for the organization's products and initiatives.

(8) Generate, support, promote, evangelize best practices, Develop sustenance & cutting-edge capabilities within the organization. Support business units in new product and service ideas & initiatives.

(10) Evangelize IFTAS ideas & initiatives in the market.

(a) Responsibilities:

1. Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.

2. Collaborate with the appropriate Business Unit Heads to develop and maintain a technology demand plan for respective business unit, while maintaining Technology standardization across the organization.

3. Reviews all designs, code and test plans where applicable .Follows appropriate methodologies and practices for the entire SDLC.

4. Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.

5. Liaises between users, operations, and S/W Development personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.

6. Design of Back up policies of all hardware, Software, network systems and implement procedure for the same across the organization.

7. Develop and communicate technology alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.

8. Participate as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, networks, data storage, media, and desktops.

9. Develops the entire Tech strategy (with regards to hardware, software, application, infrastructure & processes) with respect to product portfolio offering that IFTAS had built or is to build across the entire payment technology value chain.

10. Analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.

11. Ensure continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with outsourced vendors for End User Computing, and Centralized/Data Center operations and services.

Mandatory Requirements :

(a) Education: 1) M.E. / M.Tech

(b) Experience:

1) 15+ years- experience, of which at least 5 years should be at technology leadership level.

2) Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development

(c) Knowledge: :

1) Worked in or run a startup

2) Complete understanding of flow, integaration, performance and security requirements of banking services products

3) In-depth knowledge of Cloud Computing, Mobility Solutions, Digitalization, Web Technologies.
