IFRS 17 Implementation Manager

Responsibilities :

- Ability to analyse the financial statements and suggested treatment for assets/liabilities under different accounting standards mainly under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.

- Assist in determining the accounting treatment for different Insurance and financial products as per the local regulatory requirements and accounting standards such as IFRS 17, IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IFRS 15, etc.

- Understanding of Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) and IRDAI accounting guidelines for Insurance companies

- Assist in the build and development of IFRS 17 to current GAAP reconciliation process and templates

- Developing the chart of accounts, mapping, ledger postings, and drafting reporting formats under IFRS 17.

- Assist in the development of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for IFRS 17 reporting requirements.

- Be involved in projects related to operational process improvement and design

- Drive the day-to-day execution of assigned client projects

- Understand the client's business, key strategic essentials of the client, industry and market dynamics, and make/ implement recommendations appropriate for the client's business that needs to drive continuous improvement and generate value

- Stakeholder management in a project along with project management

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Postgraduate accounting qualification, Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)

- Location - Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore

- 5-8 years of relevant post qualification experience with a strong focus on Accounting systems, Reporting tools and excellent hands-on Microsoft Excel and PPT.

- Strong technical background, preferably knowledge of International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS).

- Preference would be given to candidates with prior experience in finance services industry.

- Experience in managing complex accounting issues.

- Willing to work flexibly.
