Key Responsibilities:

IFMR Capital is looking for an Associate Director with 4-6 years of experience to join its Small Business and Housing Finance Origination team.

The Associate Director will be primarily responsible for the business development in the Small Business and Housing Finance sector, as part of a team that manages a portfolio of debt and structured finance investments in Small Business and Housing Finance institutions across India

- Identifying potential clients and conducting due diligences/underwriting credit risk

- Preparing post due diligence notes; credit analysis of potential clients

- Tracking financial and operational performance of clients on an on-going basis

- Managing client relationships; generating business volumes and value for the company

- Aiding in the structuring and placement of debt instruments

- Negotiating and Executing plain vanilla and structured finance transactions; coordinating with various stakeholders involved in deals - including legal firms, investors etc.

Minimum Qualifications: MBA or Post Graduate in Management from a premier institute/Chartered Accountant/CFA

Minimum Experience: Minimum 4-6 years relevant experience in banking/financial services industry, preferably in SME Finance/Mortgage loans/Housing Finance etc. (banks, NBFCs, investment funds, or rating agencies).

Skills Required:

- Strong understanding of corporate/credit analysis

- Understanding the structured finance; Ability to work extensively on excel sheets

- Knowledge of legal framework, RBI/NHB/SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and other applicable laws/regulations required for transactions

- Strong negotiation skills and problem solving attitude

- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

- Ability to stretch oneself and work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team.
