Blended Learning Program Sales Manager

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Job Summary:

- The successful applicant will drive the sales of a ground breaking new Blended Learning Program (BLP) for IEEE in India. BLP is a unique engineering training program targeting the semiconductor market and a first for IEEE.

- In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for the corporate and academic markets; with a goal of achieving 2018 revenue of INR 32.5 Million ($500K) by building new clients and expanding relationships with faculty and administrators in engineering colleges & universities and with technical management in corporations within the semiconductor industry.

- The selected candidate will be expected to achieve sales and revenue goals by building new clients, expanding relationships with existing clients through the product's value proposition, benefits, features and competitive market position.

Key Responsibilities :

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Identify and scout clients for IEEE products and develop new market opportunities.

- Drives all sales activities for specific products and services.

- Works with marketing, business development, and product management teams to define and implement sales strategy.

- Persuades and sells products to highly technical people, faculty, and administrators.

- Negotiates terms with clients, develop client quotes, and work with our partners to ensure delivery of our training products to clients.

- Participate and represent IEEE - Blended Learning Programs at tradeshows and events as identified by the business leadership.

- Will be responsible for setting up and driving partnerships with third parties to resell IEEE courses as resellers in the retail markets globally.

- Responsible for driving sales of IEEE's Blended Learning Programs in India for the corporate and academic markets.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

- An engineering degree with MBA in sales or marketing.

- 5-8 years solid experience in selling professional training and continuing education products to educational institutes, retail customers and high-tech companies.

Skills & Other Requirements:

- Must be highly effective in communicating the product's value proposition, benefits, features, and competitive market position.

- 5-8 years solid experience in selling professional training and continuing education products to high-tech companies, including at least 5+ years of industry experience.

- Excellent verbal and presentation skills.

- Experience managing and interacting with all levels within an organization and overcoming challenges.

- Ability to work independently to drive results.

- Excellent communication skills and a strong command on English language is a must.

- Familiarity with salesforce.com as a sales tool.
