VP Operations  IDfy mitigates risk and fraud in people transactions. Our mission is to eliminate people related risk in all transactions, and across use cases. Our technology is used across three verticals (Financial services, HR and Sharing economy). We are venture funded (By NEA & Blume Ventures- ) and we make money - yes that's unusual for a start-up these days, but you know what- What's the point of having a business that has no chance of making money, Our investors, thankfully, think that making money is great too! :)  - Our platform is used in many different use cases, from employment to financial risk profiling, tenancy, and even matrimony. The contexts are endless; IDfy is about creating the infrastructure to enable better people decisions. Our analytics engine and workflows give leading indicators for any decision regarding people.  - Our success depends of excellence in technology people and processes, we are looking for a VP of operations with some serious chops. Someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty, and continuously looks at improving processes. This role is not for the faint of heart, we are a start up and you must be willing to excel and thrive in an environment of chaos.   - We're looking for an all-star business leader to grow and manage our Operations strategy. As VP of Operations, you will be responsible for defining our processes and work closely with rest of the senior management to drive the overall operation strategy for the company.   Who you are and what you'll do :  - Entrepreneurial, strategic and a natural leader. While it is great to fly by the seat of your pants and think on your feet, the pace at which we are growing means that we also need add structure and discipline to our processes. You will need to plan how to make things as standardised and methodical as possible. All start ups need to eventually grow up and we will too.  - Stakeholder Management - Part of being a senior in a company means balancing requirements from different stakeholders, both internal and external. You will have to walk the fine line between getting the best out of your team and, also delivering quality & timely work to the client. And that means sometimes saying - no-, or at least - not now- . If you are the type who can soak up that pressure, keep your cool and get on with work, then yay!  - Additional responsibilities include determining operational strategies, conducting needs assessments, performance reviews, capacity planning, and cost/benefit analyses; identifying and evaluating state-of-the-art technologies. You will be building and motivating a team who empathize with the problems that riders and drivers face every day. You will be building an entrepreneurial, high-performing and data driven culture that thrives on solving problems and eliminating the root cause of issues.  Additional experience and requirements :  - Location - Based in Mumbai, but with up to 25% domestic travel required  - Must have a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in operations management (BPO, KPO, customer service). MBA or graduate degree preferred  - Should have team handling (direct and indirect) experience  - An entrepreneur; you act like an owner and make decisions as such  - Strong planning and organizational skills as well as attention to detail  - Strong communication, reading comprehension, and writing skills  - Ability to handle multiple priorities and to meet deadlines in stressful situations  - Strong technical and analytical aptitude  - Exceptional verbal/written communication skills  - Fluent communication in multiple languages preferred
