The individual will work closely with suppliers and various business groups within IDFC to lead and manage supplier relationships. This person will work independently to execute the strategy within the organization ensuring that this initiative is implemented and supplier/ business understand its significance.
Supplier risk management will also be key as part of this program which would involve working with external agencies.
Responsibilities will be as under :
- To develop the initiative schedule basis the defined guideline
- Managing supplier relationships end to end
- End to end management of supplier contract life cycle
- Maintaining approved supplier list for various categories and regularly updating the same
- Tiering of supplier and keeping the list updated at regular intervals
- Conducting training for various supplier managers/ teams associated with the program
- Coordinate with Audit and Compliance teams from regulatory perspective
- Well versed with various related matters - Supplier Risk, contractual obligations etc
- 3rd party resource management like contractors
- Should be able to challenge the processes and recommend efficiency / productivity improvement
- Present executive summary to senior management
- Ensure all controls are in place for this program.
An Ideal Candidate should possess :
- Should have minimum experience of 5 - 7 years in managing Supplier Relationship Management program, candidates with MBA are preferred.
Contract management : should be able to monitor start date, end date and other key ingredients of the contracts. Will be the custodian of all contracts / agreements.
Supplier management : should be able to manage relationship with vendors / suppliers / partners. Should be able to maintain a list of tier1 / 2 / 3 vendors as applicable, basis the importance and usage as defined by the user.
Business management : should be able to do define review parameters of vendors basis their tiering
Audit / compliance : should be able to ensure compliance of all processes with regards to his process
- Should understand vendor ratings like Crisil and DNB
- Should be able to understand process of doing a background verification of a vendor
- Should have experience in working on complex requirements
- A good articulator to manage conflict management.
- Should have exposure of interacting at Senior management level
- Should have experience in managing such program in large and complex environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being adaptable and culturally aware.
