Title: Underwriter – Group Health Insurance Scheme (Mass Health)

Reports to: Area Manager – Underwriting

Based at: Prabhadevi

Job purpose:

Underwriting risk and managing the portfolio for mass health schemes, monitoring the performance of schemes and recommending for corrective action , booking and endorsement of policies, data management, analytics and ensuring compliance

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Underwrite the risk rate for mass health/ government sponsored scheme and prepare proposals for new business

2. Monitor and report on status of the schemes

3. Prepare analytical reports and presentations for senior managements reviewing .

4. Carry out competitor analysis and collect market information.

5. Manage the booking of policies according to quotes and accuracy of premium collection

Skills Required:

1. Full time MBA, person with medical background would be preferred.

2. Understanding of insurance concepts with special focus on health insurance

3. Well versed with excel skills

4. Excellent presentation skills

Experience: min 2 years of experience in insurance domain with special focus on health insurance
