ICICI Lombard - AVP - Actuarial

Actuarial Exam Requirement : Candidates who have progressed in their actuarial qualification beyond Core Technical (CT) and Core Application (CA) are desirable

Other qualification : Candidates should have a good working knowledge of SAS & Excel

Job Description : The job would require application of statistical and actuarial models for pricing, reserving and risk management.

Actuarial proficiency :

- Determining IBNR reserves using standard actuarial and other methods

- Pricing various lines of business using standard actuarial techniques as well as through statistical models

- Familiarity with Solvency modeling

- Work on Various IRDA reports

Other proficiency :

- Proficiency with statistical techniques

- Regression analysis: Using Generalized Linear Models for the personal lines capturing the relationship between various attributes

- Fitting distributions to data

- Using time series models for forecasting

The role requires team members to progress through actuarial qualification process including enrollment in Institute of Actuaries of India or Faculty & Institute of Actuaries (UK), and give exams periodically. The company has an active incentive scheme to reward and encourage actuarial qualification.

The role would also involve significant interactions with senior and top management of the company, good communication skills are essential

In terms of the profile of the candidates we are looking at people who are :

- Maths or Stats (post graduates preferable) who are giving actuarial papers and have cleared between 8-10 papers

- Working in general insurance area in direct insurance company or in back office like Swiss Re, AXA business services, XL capital, RSA etc.

- Some leadership experience in managing a team
