JOB PURPOSE: As part of the AML investigations management team for the Financial Investigations Department, the AML Manager is responsible for managing an assigned group of AML Analysts or other Financial Investigations Department team(s).&nbsp; - Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of internal controls to comply with all regulatory and legal requirements of suspicious activity investigations including the alerting from AML transaction monitoring systems, case work and documentation and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).&nbsp; - AML Manager is also responsible for currency transaction reporting, global sanctions screening, enhanced due diligence or other AML processes. The Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to department Policies and Standards, advising investigators, managing workflow, delivering a high quality work product and general people management for the location. The associate may also lead projects or process improvement teams and have significant interactions with Legal, Compliance, Business Areas, and other Investigation teams Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - To understand, analyse, advice and implement sanctions compliance measures as per prevailing global, regional, national and local sanctions programmes and regulatory requirements. This will include: 1.assisting in policy/ framework/ process setting, periodic reviews of policy/ framework/ process 2. Reviewing business proposals and providing sign-off from sanctions compliance perspective 3.reviewing and approving on name screening alerts for business transaction processing - HO oversight on IBG operations from AML/CFT perspective. This will include: 1.review and advising local compliance teams on the AML/CFT policies, frameworks, processes and procedures 3. review and advise on ongoing AML/CFT matters as required 4.participating and providing inputs in branch Compliance and AML forums ; others as assigned by Principal Officer's office - AML/CFT systems vendor engagement to clarify on the AML/CFT matters - Assisting in setting/review of policy/ framework/ process in relation to Financial Institutions Group, International Financial Institutions Group, and Exchange Houses. This will also include review and approval of customer on-boardings, ongoing due diligence and periodic due diligence cases. - Assisting in setting and review of internal methodologies on customer risk assessment, enterprise risk assessment and country risk assessment from AML/CFT perspective - Assisting in assessment of AML system's effectiveness and efficiency levels through periodic testings - Implement measures to monitor effectiveness of AML investigations analysts. - May assist in the development of enterprise wide policies, procedures and required risk assessments. - Assess internal trends, external regulatory &amp; law enforcement environment to make recommendations, understand risk areas and alter or add to current processes - Any other assignment as assigned by Principal Officer's office Qualifications: CA Candidates with 1 to 4 years of experience in AML Compliance is required.
