Position Summary

The Accounting Head will play a crucial role in leading and managing our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, exceptional financial acumen, and a proven track record of success. The Accounting Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership:

- Provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, collaborating with executive management to drive financial success.

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective and compliant financial operations.

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Oversee day-to-day activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

Financial Reporting:

- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial documents.

- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance and trends to support decision-making.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring the organization's compliance.

- Implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard assets.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights to support strategic planning.

- Monitor budget performance and variances, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Accounting:

- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards, Manage the bookkeeping process to accurately record financial transactions.

- Oversee the book closure process at the end of accounting periods.

- Coordinate and oversee external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.

Bookkeeping:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions on a daily basis.

- Organize and categorize financial data for easy reference and retrieval, reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

Book Closure:

- Lead the process of closing financial books at the end of accounting periods, ensuring accuracy and completeness, Review and reconcile financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare financial reports and statements for management review and decision-making.

Audits:

- Coordinate and oversee external audits conducted by independent auditors, Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors during audit processes.

- Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with audit findings.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, CA is must.

- Proven track record with 12-15 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.

- Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to provide valuable financial insights.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and financial integrity.
