We are looking at a CFO who will take us to the next level of business and financials maturity to meet our growing demand. Position Summary Objective : A strategic role in management of the company as an executive member of the Company's senior leadership, the CFO is responsible for facilitating profitable growth and strong return on investment (ROI) across all product lines while ensuring an environment of strong financial controllership and compliance. The CFO will work with business to achieve the financial commitments of revenue, operating income and working capital. Will be responsible for investor relationships and debt financing/asset leasing, within three years leading company to IPO. S/he shall act as a key business leader during long-range strategic planning processes with specific responsibility for developing the financial roadmap, converting the 3-year business plan to annual operating plans. Will be responsible for evaluating and assisting in financial & business planning, ensuring all elements of financial management are of the highest ethical standards, quality and integrity. Will have direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic financial planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.

Primary functions of the position:

1. Head the Finance and Accounting function, covering aspects like business planning, budgeting, reporting, planning, fund management and taxation

2. Be the front face of the organization with investors and maintain a strong investor relationship

3. Align Debt Financing and funds raise both from perspective of funds acquisition to meet operational requirements and maintaining healthy Debt-Equity ratios

4. Heading treasury - Working capital requirements, term loans, weekly receivables, interacting with Indian and Overseas Bankers for lines of credit, bill discounting, bank guarantees

5. Prepare annual budgets and corporate plans to capture the current and future business opportunities and work closely with business to identify scope for diversifying the business

6. Tax planning for all legal entities which may be set up in future

7. Provide advice/guidance on matters of business capital investment and expense control

8. Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, e.g., regulatory bodies

9. Statutory compliances, corporate governance, and secretarial services - Coordinating with Board

10. Manage FEMA and RBI compliances

11. Key member of the Executive Management team

12. Spearhead and provide strategic inputs for activities related to fund raising

13. Develop financial and tax strategies

14. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

15. Strategically partner with unit & functional leadership teams to drive profitable growth through analysis, influence and action on pricing, new customer acquisition, new ventures, potential business acquisitions, product profitability and cost control

16. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction Funding

17. Be primary point of contact for banking relationships

18. Alliances with leading banking and financial institutions for financial & marketplace operations

19. Manage due-diligence, and funding related documentation for large fundraising event

20. Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.

21. Arrange for debt and equity financing (VC Acquisitions)

22. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team, member of key board committees like Compensation Committee

23. Perform market, customer and product financials analysis and tune internal processes to identify both new opportunities and potential risks to future business performance.

24. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the firm

25. Financial reporting, analysis, and business insights

26. Build strong, stable finance team; attract/develop key talent with succession plan for key roles

27. Risk Management

a. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.

b. Monitor legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

c. Construct and monitor reliable control systems

d. Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

e. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

f. Ensure record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

g. Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors

Personal Requirements & Position Attributes:

1. Work Environment & Physical Demands; Comfort with travel up to 10 days/month. May need to travel Pan-India on demand.

2. Qualification: CA required. CA with MBA preferred but not essential

3. Work Experience:

a. Essential:

I. Developed, leveraged investor and financial institutions relationships

II. Converted Business Plans into Annual Operating Plans

III. Instituted strong financial controls

IV. Been a key member of corporate alliances and acquisitions

V. Managed Commercials / Contracts & Negotiations / Collections

b. Preferred:

I. Exposure to International markets

II. Handled Corporate planning, legal &secretarial areas, Corp communications

3. Skills & Competencies:

a. Strong Business Acumen with Executive Presence

b. Strategic Business Communication: Need to have essential traits of Active Listening and Active Probing styles in persuasive communication which the individual should also be able to impart to the reporting executive leadership

c. Language skills: Strong spoken, written English to address both national and international clients and partners. Relevant language skill (one of Kannada, Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam) would be considered as an added advantage

d. Patience, Perseverance & Resilience

e. Learnability & Adaptability: Ability to grasp, willingness to learn and adapt to situations / new opportunities are essential traits

f. Thought Leadership: Represent Company in national/international investor meetings & seminars

g. Familiarity with ERP tools like SAP & high degree of comfort/advocacy in using BI tools
