Job Description :

STRATEGIC :

- Design and implement strategic communication initiatives that include print and radio media, digital and social media channels and niche communications, and corporate social responsibility, to increase the visibility and understanding of the company's vision and purpose

- Anticipate reputational risk issues and develop and implement appropriate communication actions

- Ensure that the Brand & Corporate Communication department is performing its work in accordance with established professional standards and remaining abreast of emerging trends and best practices that can be incorporated into the function

- Review the governance standards and operational protocols for the sign-off on all corporate communications emanating from the company, to ensure that quality assurance is maintained

- Handling the statutory compliance needs and ensuring that all reports and processes are as per the same

OPERATIONAL :

- Champion communications throughout the institution to ensure that communication considerations form an integral part of policy-making, project designs, visits and tours by the senior management

- Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the brand guidelines

- Meeting regularly with the Managing Director and the Heads of Departments to report the status of Brand & Corporate Communication department's ongoing activities, educating/informing them of emerging risks and/or exposures (whether internal or external to the company) that should be considered

- Providing support for legal cases pertaining to the workings of the department

- Work with management to develop internal communications programs and processes required to support organizational change and employee engagement initiative

PEOPLE :

- Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to secure coverage surrounding the programmes, special events, public announcements and other projects

- Proactively identify opportunities for engagement and influence by being current with developments that relate to all key stakeholders and partners

- Work with senior management and department staff to determine the areas where the company can impact issues through the development and publication of materials, and participation in selected public speaking events

- Liaising with the different Heads of Departments from across the firm for an understanding of their respective businesses

- Handling disputes which may arise during the course of workings of the audit department.

- Supervise, coach and develop junior members of staff within the Brand and Corporate Communication team
