The Association:

Established in 2004, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) is a not-for-profit industry body and the country's only organisation representing the digital services industry with over 500+ Indian and multinational corporations as its members, which include established companies in diverse sectors of the digital ecosystem as well as start-ups. Its mandate is to expand and enhance the online and mobile value-added services sectors. It is dedicated to presenting a unified voice of the businesses it represents to the government, investors, consumers and other stakeholders. IAMAI represents varied sectors such as digital advertising, digital entertainment, TravelTech, online gaming, digital payments, Fintech, digital commerce, Edtech, Healthtech, Agritech, LogisticsTech etc.

Fintech Convergence Council (FCC)

Established in 2018 with the objective of representing the perspectives of regulated financial service providers and fintech companies on a range of issues. Currently, FCC has a membership of over 100 individuals from diverse domains within the industry, including digital lending and segments such as P2P, MSME, Consumer loan, Asset Backed lending and Cards, wealth management, insurance, digital financial service providers, Regtech, Agritech, and Bureaus.

With the primary focus of the council to address the sector specific challenges faced by the industry and to serve as a platform for all stakeholders within the financial services (BFSI) ecosystem, fostering discussion on important issues, incorporating diverse perspectives, and promoting the growth of the fintech sector.

FCC has played a leading role in advocating for public policies pertaining to the domains and has actively produced thought leadership content. One of its committees, the Digital Lending Committee, consists of industry representatives from peer-to-peer lending, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), consumer gold loan, and cards. This committee has engaged in advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators at various levels.

Roles and responsibilities:

The profile will assist and help reporting manager in managing sectoral committees & driving policy and industry issues.

Major areas of work:

Public Policy

- As part of the sectoral committee, you are expected to help organise regular committee meetings on both Proactive and Reactive Issues

- Inculcating relationship with Policymakers, Regulators of the respective sectors

- Ensuring cordial affinities are maintained with members, understanding Industry issues, building a rational and consensual narrative and coordinate with policy maker , regulators and other industry bodies for the same.

- Creating MOMs of the meeting and ensure actionable are executed in time.

Thought Leadership

- Working with Knowledge Partners in creating representations/ white papers / reports on Policy matters

- Organising workshops and events to which will help creation thought leadership content.

Market Access

- Implementing market access programs for Industry

- Maintaining partnership relationships with parallel organisations globally to aid growth of the ecosystem/ Knowledge/ New Products etc

Memberships & Events:

- Coordinate with sales team and drive membership for the sectors

- Coordinate with events team and successfully execute events

Your capabilities:

- Go-getter, methodical, multitasker

- Sectoral knowledge in any of the domains - Lending, Insurance, Wealth Management, Agritech, LegalTech, etc

- Organize events / round tables top CEOs, Founders, Investors

- Good communication and presentation skills, command over written and spoken English, flair of writing, handle data & analysis (hence good excel & google sheets

- You are a team player.

- Any previous work experience with a business industry association, chambers of commerce or similar groups, consulting firms, law firms or market research firms will be added advantage, but not a refraining factor for the right candidate.

Qualification and experience:

- First Class Gradates in business, law, public policy or economics.

- 1- 2 years of work experience
