What do we do?

- If you meet someone online, verifying 'who they say they are' is a hard problem: From the Nigerian prince scams to email-imposters who claim to be company's CEO - the problem is ever evolving and growing along with internet's growth

- While most of us want to open bank accounts, get a sim card, or apply for a loan online - this convenience to users like us, comes at the cost of fraud attacks for these businesses

- Thus, building the identity infrastructure, for Internet scale is indeed a critical step to empower new-age businesses to grow

- While we've solved this challenge really well & validated the identities of 600 million customers until date, the landscape of frauds keep evolving

- How do we keep our products nimble, yet sophisticated to respond to emerging fraud patterns, all the while keeping the experience of end-user delightful - is a peek into the challenges we solve for

- Sitting in the intersection of AI, User experience, and evolving fraud patterns, building products to impact millions of customers across the world, is an exciting challenge to tackle!

Overview : It's a dynamic role with exposure and learning opportunities in end to end finance processes and finance strategy including but not limited to FP&A, Internal controls, Reporting and compliance, Business finance, Taxation.

1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:

- Develop comprehensive quarterly financial plans and budgets that align with the company's business goals.

- Forecast regularly future financial trends and provide insights to aid in decision-making.

- Monitor budgetary performance and provide regular reports to the leadership team.

2. Cash Flow Management:

- Manage cash flow effectively to ensure the startup has enough liquidity to operate and grow.

- Prepare and update the runway of the organization on a monthly basis to ensure sufficient capital is available for operations and highlighting concerns to the management for decision-making

- Implement strategies to optimize the cash conversion cycle, reducing the time it takes to turn services into cash

3. Business Finance :

- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks

- Provide in-depth analysis of financial statements and metrics to guide strategic decisions

- Evaluate the financial impact of different business scenarios and provide recommendations

- Research on international taxes and advise the business on the same. Get expert opinion if required to close out the analysis.

4. Business Strategy Support:

- Collaborate with the leadership team to align financial goals with overall business strategy.

- Provide financial input during strategic planning sessions and other significant business decisions.

5. Financial reporting and compliance:

- Closely works with the Finance Head for various management reports, analysis, management meetings and other periodic deliverables on MIS.

- Communicate financial results and insights to the management team and stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain financial KPIs to measure the company's performance.

- Supports compliance and applicable financial reporting standards. Accountable for the annual audits including coordination with auditors, guiding accounting team and closing audits within stipulated time

6. Team Leadership and Development:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance.

- Foster a culture of financial responsibility and accountability within the organization.

- Invest in the professional development of team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

7. Process setup and continuous improvement

- Developing, operationalizing & communicating organization-wide finance policies, procedures & processes across entities

- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Stay updated with the latest financial trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

- CA ranker ( preferred)

- CA with at least 3 years of post qualification experience

- Articleship/Experience in a big 4/startup would be preferred.

- Prior experience in Business finance will be preferred.

- Excellent written and oral articulation

- Highly competent in working with cross functional teams.

- Has great analytical skills and an eye for attention to detail

- Has a positive attitude and keen to learn
