Position Summary

The role of Infrastructure Manager is to manage country / business unit IT operations, IT personnel and vendors to ensure efficient operations and minimize disruptions. To liaise with business managers and Global IT to develop and maintain systems and solutions and provides help desk assistance to all users of the systems in the business unit including problem resolution, training, moves, adds and changes of employees and management of IT based projects.

This role manages a team of 7 staff and 12 contractors across 17 India location.

The key purpose of the team is to provide users of our business systems with first point of call for all IT related issues, to resolve those issues, and to provide an adequate modern IT solution to the business in the most cost-effective manner.

Organizational Context

This role is reported to Global IT Infrastructure. This role takes care of IT in business unit and support end-users

Role & Responsibility:

- Leading the team of 7 + 12 across India to provide IT Infrastructure services and support to the India business units, and to provide Global IT Support where necessary.

- Responsible for the IT Infrastructure systems including Networking, Tele-communication, hardware design, software design, design documentation, equipment installation, equipment debug, and support.

- Interact and work closely with the Global team and local team to support the IT, Network Administrators and Tele communication.

- Interact and work closely with the Business System team for Production teams to support production and facility projects that involve IT, networking and OT connectivity and associated hardware and software.

- Collaborate with multiple Operations teams to meet current and future continuous improvement project goals.

- Estimates time and cost for new projects and installations.

- Review capital equipment quotations to ensure equipment meets IT Infrastructure specifications.

- Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting and remediating hardware, software, and network issues on office and production floor with Business system, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and local IT Helpdesk.

- Reduce downtime on production equipment due to IT issues, maximizing system availability and performance through fault-tolerant design and proactively monitoring.

- Support network backup and device patching management process.

- Assist in inventory and asset management of IT resources, including software, servers, devices, and workstations.

- Improve system and maintenance performance based on availability and reliability.

- Review security vulnerabilities and request appropriate remediation from respective teams.

- Develops and applies standards for IT & OT hardware and software systems.

- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned to support Higher Huhtamaki's strategic 2030.

- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.

- Lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.

- Align team goals and consolidate tasks to the team member

- Create and communicate a clear list of expectations and goals for team members

- Nurture collaboration amongst team members

- Maintain frequent communication to offer encouragement, amend tasks, and provide updates on goal progress

- Quickly and effectively resolve team conflicts

- Follow up the plan and keep the team motivated and focused on their daily tasks project goals
